South Africa is rich with culture and Shimmy Beach Club is situated at the epicenter of Cape Town’s cultural melting pot, The V&A Waterfront. This year, Shimmy’s Restaurant will be offering a special lunch menu to celebrate our heritage. Our Executive Chef, Adrian Cook, has put together a very special menu to celebrate our heritage tomorrow.

“What’s more South African than biltong, boerewors and beer? We want to celebrate with some of the local snacks, served in our Shimmy way.” says Chef Adrian. “When he was asked why he loves being a South African, he replied “I live in one of the most beautiful country in the world, and I can drink a glass of wine made from our own grapevines. We are at the forefront of creating African cuisine. We as South Africans, we accept the foreign styles of cooking, and blend the methods, flavours and tastes of the world to create what know to be our own.”
