Back by popular demand, Shimmy’s buffet style menu will once again be on offer. Expect tables laden with a variety of traditional Christmas favourites, prepared with an extravagant twist, such as fire roasted leg of Karoo lamb with thyme infused jus, pistachio encrusted turkey breast with sweet roasted prune and pistachio centre and honey and mustard baked gammon.
For starters, taste your way through platters of our famous sushi and dim sum, or enjoy delicious flavour combinations, created by Executive Chef Adrian, such as crostini with oak smoked salmon, cream cheese and caviar, biltong encrusted kudu on potato rosti with caramelised onion, blue cheese and balsamic reduction or fish, prawn and avocado cocktail with chilled lime and Cointreau aioli. The best part about buffet is that there is no need to choose, we encourage you to pile your plate and sample all our dishes to find your favourite.
The famous dessert table deserves a mention of its own – we’ve concocted a selection that caters to every type of sweet tooth! From Christmas pudding with warm brandy custard, to Lindt chocolate mousse, to individual cherry and summer fruits trifle layered with pavlova crunch or berry cheesecake, we guarantee you’ll want to leave room for dessert.
