A formula that has prompted a global shift towards ‘sunset hour’ being dubbed PARTY O’CLOCK! Shimmy Beach Club, South Africa’s premier lifestyle venue is no exception and has confirmed a line up for their popular Summer Calling that will tempt anyone to spend their time outdoors during the Cape Town summer.

Kicking off this year’s Shimmy ‘Summer Calling’ season is Africa’s most prominent house music producer and DJ, Black Coffee, who will be hitting the decks live at Shimmy Beach Club, starting on Friday, 09 December 2016, and will be performing every Friday in December.

GOLDFISH is back! Submerged Sundays will once again be headlined by GOLDFISH, who will be supported by a host of internationally acclaimed artists from around the world. There will be seven Goldfish events, with 4 bonus shows through-out summer, which include some of the most in-demand international acts. Submerged Sundays will be back as from the 27 November 2016.

This popular beach club has also announced a partnership with the iconic David Guetta’s label FMIF (F*** Me I’m Famous!) for their legendary NYE extravaganza. A series of electronic dance music compilation albums which has since developed into a host of Ibiza style ‘F*** Me I’m Famous!’ parties throughout the world for over a decade and now Shimmy Beach Club will exclusively host the very first one in Africa. New Year’s Eve will never be the same again!

For those who are looking for more of a local feel, ‘Summer Calling’ has you covered with Afrikaans Rock, whereby some of South African music’s biggest names will be seen together for the first time on the iconic Shimmy Beach Club Stage. With a line-up that exceeds any Afrikaans music lover’s dream – this is a show that is not to be missed. 3rd of December will see Die Heuwels Fantasties and Fokofpolisiekar returning to the Shimmy Stage and after a successful season on The Voice SA, Karen Zoid will make sure we are all reminded as to why ‘afrikaners is plesierig’. Also keeping crowds entertained are South African favourites Jack Parow and Francois van Coke.

The world’s most renowned Deep House brand Armada Music heads to Shimmy Beach Club, for two great events this summer!  Join Shimmy and Armada Nights – De Hofnar on the 17 December 2016 as they pull out all the stops to make this a truly memorable experience with the unrivalled Armada vibe.  Armada Nights brings you tracks which have proven their strengths in the underground, yet still retain crossover potential.

Contributing to the Armada Nights sounds this summer is the ever popular Pretty Pink. This charming pink lady has made a serious way through the steaming international club zone to manifest her belief in the very finest tunes of Nu Disco, Deep-house and the most unique, secret selection of House music. Catch Armada Nights – Pretty Pink on the iconic Shimmy stage on the 27th December.
