Press release – 12 Jan 2015
Ultra South Africa, the biggest electronic dance music festival to hit our shores, returns in February 2015, and for the first time will be hosting six Ultra Countdown parties to build excitement for February 13 and 14 shows. Six parties will tour South Africa, hitting Cape Town and Johannesburg. The first of the Cape Ultra SA Countdown events will be at Shimmy Beach Club, Cape Town’s premier lifestyle destination, on 1 February 2015, featuring some of Ultra SA’s finest locals including Shaun Duvet, Dean Fuel, Strange Lovers, Gareth Kenward and more. Shaun Duvet, Co-Founder of Ultra South Africa, says: “Electronic music culture originated on the floors and through the beats of nightclubs. These parties are a great way to get them involved in the Ultra family as well as preparing Ultranauts for the pending madness. It also gives local artists a chance to take centre stage and be part of the global Ultra journey. Most of all, Ultra Countdown gives us the opportunity to build excitement and anticipation for the festival in February 2015.”
